Maggie's Story
Despite a beautiful and confident outward appearance, on the inside Maggie was a tortured child, longing for love and self-acceptance. Her desperate attempts to satisfy her need for belonging led her through a series of painful relationships and self-harm. After a roller-coaster ride of failed treatment programs, Maggie finally found peace and self-esteem at New Haven.
Maliha's Story
Beautiful. Talented. Troubled. As a young child, Maliha felt like she didn't "fit in". She was prettier, smarter, and darker-skinned than other children. After a traumatic experience robbed her of her ability to trust, she became aggressive, angry, and unwieldy. It was only through the powerful relationships she found at New Haven that she began to trust herself and others again.
